On July 31, 1979, the Committee on Health and Social Services held a public hearing on 1979 Assembly Bill 279, medical cannabis legislation sponsored by Democratic Reps. David Clarenbach, James R. Lewis, Raymond J. Omernick, Thomas Loftus, Marcia Coggs, Barbara Ulichny and David Travis. I attended the hearing and federal patient Robert Randall was the featured witness.
